We are qualified, freelance, full-time copy-editors and proofreaders living and working in the French Pyrenees. We are happy to receive copy or proofs either online or via the post, and will cover any additional postage charges incurred by sending material to France. We would be pleased to complete an assessment piece or send you before and after copies of work previously undertaken.

We both have a Certificate of Competence in Proofreading and Copy-editing from Chapterhouse, the publishing trainers based in the south-west of England. We offer editing and proofreading services across a wide range of material covering both fiction and non-fiction.

Our professional backgrounds have been in education. Until recently we held the positions of Headmaster and Head of Lower School respectively at an independent school in Devon, leaving teaching to follow our freelance careers in July 2007. Our joint interest in books and the English language, and our passion for the French Pyrenees, were instrumental in this change.

Our most recent editing/proofreading contracts have been with RIB International and Acoustic magazines, Allison & Busby and Scholastic.

Working as a team, your texts would effectively be edited/proofread twice, with both of us screening for the price of one, thus ensuring the highest standards of thoroughness and accuracy.
